Reid Kerr is home to over 20,000 students on three campuses in Paisley. The media section is located in the newest facility on the College’s main campus and offers a variety of media courses, with a strong focus on radio in its many forms.

Courses are delivered by a team with considerable broadcast experience as presenters, producers and sound engineers in the commercial sector and the BBC. The team boast a number of awards both for teaching and programme-making and emphasize industry strength practice in all of their classes and workshops.

Close links with the main radio stations in the area give students a unique opportunity to meet and learn from the experts, while placements provide real insights into Scottish broadcasting. Students use a variety of broadcast production equipment to produce content, ranging from analogue and digital portable recorders, via a variety of software tools to a state-of-the-art digital radio studio and produce daily programmes for the campus online radio station.
