- what we offer students

Creative Loop provides students with the chance to learn directly from key professionals at our events and festivals and to showcase their talents to industry. It's recognised that high quality work placements are essential to enable students to get on the first rung of the ladder, but getting these placements can be difficult. Creative Loop's relationships with industry include BBC Scotland, the Radio Academy in Scotland and the Celtic Media Festival. This direct link with industry creates opportunities for students to gain valuable insights before embarking on a career in the media industry.

Creative Loop organises events and masterclasses with leading industry thinkers such as renowned film-maker Larry Jordan. There is also an annual opportunity to meet movers and shakers in the media industry in Scotland.

Foot In The Door
Foot In The Door gives every radio student in Scotland the opportunity to meet the bosses and broadcasters from across the BBC, commercial and independent sectors. Run in association with the Radio Academy, the event covers all aspects of audio and enables industry access to the next generation of talent.

Greenlight- Creative Loop at the Celtic Media Festival
Greenlight offers media students and new entrants from across the Celtic regions a fantastic opportunity to take part in a diverse and focused programme of events covering various aspects of the media today. Running alongside the Celtic Media Festival, attendees are also offered the opportunity to attend sessions from the main Festival: networking, the awards ceremonies and screenings.

Creative Loop Student Media Festival and Awards
This inaugural Creative Loop Student Media Festival will comprise events and masterclasses from recognised industry experts with a particular focus on the craft and technical skills where Scotland's colleges excel. There will be a strong employment focus to the event with recent graduates returning to explain how they got their break, and plenty of opportunities to network with industry and learn how best to pitch ideas and proposals. The awards will recognise the best of emerging talent across film and television, radio and interactive and are open to anyone registered at one of Scotland's colleges during 2009.
