It’s not just us media students that are a part of the Commonwealth Games – thousands of students and staff from all over Scotland have been contributing towards the preparation, execution and legacy of the biggest sporting event the country will see for years to come.
To recognise the colleges, universities and individual students that have been working so hard, the one-off Game Changer Awards have been scouring through hundreds of nominations to see who has made the biggest difference, the most advances and the best of the opportunities laid that come with hosting an international event on this scale.
Happily, Dundee and Angus College have been nominated in the ‘Learning and Skills’ for leading the charge with the Host Broadcaster Training Initiative. Grant Ritchie, Director of the Creative Loop, is the Depute Principal at the college and accepts the nomination on behalf of all of Creative Loop and the students who are taking part.
The full list of nominations is available on the Gamechangers.org site, with the winners being announced at the Old Fruitmarket on Thursday the 3rd of April.
