Reid Kerr College
Reid Kerr is home to over 20,000 students on three campuses in Paisley. The media section is located in the newest facility on the College's main campus and offers a variety of media courses, with a strong focus on radio in its many forms.
Courses are delivered by a team with considerable broadcast experience as presenters, producers and sound engineers in the commercial sector and the BBC. The team boast a number of awards both for teaching and programme-making and emphasize industry strength practice in all of their classes and workshops.
Close links with the main radio stations in the area give students a unique opportunity to meet and learn from the experts, while placements provide real insights into Scottish broadcasting. Students use a variety of broadcast production equipment to produce content, ranging from analogue and digital portable recorders, via a variety of software tools to a state-of-the-art digital radio studio and produce daily programmes for the campus online radio station.
